The path

This space is built on what we lived, not just what we found.

Back in 2014, our world stopped.

A call from the VA sent us straight to the emergency room, where we learned my kidneys were functioning at just 5%. In an instant, everything changed. After a week in the hospital, we went home facing an uncertain future.

What followed was a year of testing, waiting, and hoping—until we received incredible news. Sarah, my wife, was a perfect match. In 2015, she gave me a kidney, and with it, we were given five meaningful years.

When that transplant eventually failed, I returned to dialysis. In 2021, I received a second transplant. But a few years later, that kidney began to fail as well.

By 2025, things became even more difficult. That kidney developed into a tumor. I was in constant pain, losing weight rapidly, and in and out of the ER almost weekly. We were repeatedly told everything was fine—but we knew something wasn’t right. I lost nearly 100 pounds, and even my own doctor wasn’t sure I would make it.

We had always trusted the medical system—and still do—but that experience changed something for us.

It led Sarah to start asking deeper questions.

She began researching, looking for ways to better understand how the body heals and what might exist alongside traditional medicine. That search led her to peptides.

It was never about replacing medical care. It was about learning more—about supporting the body, about recovery, and about possibility.

Sarah started with herself first. She noticed improvements in recovery, energy, and overall well-being. What began as curiosity quickly became a passion.

Since then, she has dedicated her time to learning, researching, and helping others better understand peptides—always with a grounded, thoughtful, and realistic approach.

This journey is what led to Beyond the Script.

Personal story photo

Why we started. Beyond the Script grew out of our own need for answers. It’s not a substitute for modern medicine, but a place to explore what’s possible when you look further. We focus on the science and the value of good care, but we also believe in asking questions when things don't feel right. We don’t have every answer, but we believe that having better information helps us all make better choices for our health.
